Alex Hern is a venture capitalist who specializes in acquisitions and development of new technology companies. For the last 25 years, Mr. Hern has been on the front lines of innovation and improving technology in the workplace. This desire to invest in and improve upon technology culminated with his new company, Tsunami VR, a technology company that provides virtual reality equipment and experiences to their customers. Companies specializing in virtual reality are new and hard to come by right now so this just demonstrates how much Alex Hern values the possibilities of technology, which is why he co-founded Tsunami VR.
In a recent article on Ideamensch.com, Mr. Hern discusses his company and his professional background. He explains that he came up with the idea for Tsunami when he realized how much of a computer era we’re in right now. Virtual reality can now be a part of our daily workplace lives and Mr. Hern saw that. On a daily basis, Mr. Hern will take between 4 and 5 hours to focus on a singular idea that might drive the company forward. This kind of forward-thinking and focus are the tenants of Tsunami VR.
Mr. Hern explained that the next innovation he sees developing is artificial intelligence. He is particularly excited about that trend and the possibilities it brings with it. When asked what advice he would give his younger self, Mr. Hern said he would tell himself that life is a marathon, not a sprint. This mentality lends well to sticking with technology trends that may not come to fruition for a long time still. To new and up and coming entrepreneurs, he gives the advice of getting up early and staying consistent in your routine. This kind of consistency is one of the things that Alex Hern mentioned as why he has been successful.
