Dr. Sameer Jejurikar Busts A Few Myths About Breast Augmentation Surgery

Dr. Sameer Jejurikar is a Dallas, Texas-based plastic surgeon and reconstructive surgeon. He graduated in 1993 from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical sciences. In 1997 he earned his medical degree from this same educational institution. He works at the Dallas Plastic Surgeon Institute and has admitting rights at the Dallas Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, and Pine Creek Medical Center.

In 2012, Dr. Sameer Jejurikar was honored to earn the Compassionate Doctor Certification. Only 3 percent of doctors earned this certification which requires almost perfect scores to be left by patients in online reviews on Patients’ Choice, Vitals, UCompareHealthCare, and similar rating websites. He was said to have in particular excellent bedside manners and showed great care for his patients. When he commented on this recognition he said that he was very honored and pleased to have his patients leave such great reviews.

He is known to be highly skilled at breast augmentation surgery. Dr. Sameer Jejurikar says there is a lot of misinformation out there about this type of surgery even though it is very common. He says that the biggest myth he deals with is that breast implants are the answer to the drooping breasts that can occur after pregnancy or the loss of a large amount of weight. This type of surgery does not raise the position of the nipples, though, so it is of no help for drooping breasts. The type of surgery women should be looking at who have drooping breasts is a breast lift.

He also broke the myth that breast implants always look fake. He says you only notice a woman has had work done because that was how they chose to have it. Many women have a completely natural look who have had breast augmentation completed on them.
