The Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund was formed with the aim of helping the civil groups and individuals towards assisting in the fight for the rights of the immigrants. They had the objective of helping the immigrants feel that they also needed to be listened to and probably get equal chances. They sacrificed their lives and also time towards helping these people achieve their future dreams.

They fearlessly fought the corrupt dictator of Maricopa by the name of Joe Arpaio. He was always against the immigrants and had been the mastermind of the poor services and assistance being offered to them. He cared less about their welfare because he was their Sheriff.

The journalists and the Fund did not come quickly. It was after a long journey of court battles which almost brought their careers to an end.

They passionately followed to the core with a determination that when they win. It had to be a massive win for the immigrants. Larkin and Lacey were arrested for publishing an article that touched the office of the Sheriff. They owned the magazine, and one day they decided to write one that touched on what was happening at the Maricopa County offices. A place where they used to mistreat immigrants inappropriately but Larkin and Lacey decided to risk their lives just for the success of the journalists.

They had been arrested from their homes and were being forced to disclose the names of their news sources. That was a violation of their rights, and they did not even manage to rise to fame in their careers. They went to court to report a gross abuse of their reasons for facing arrests without a warrant.

The grand jury which was entirely behind the orders of the Sheriff was unable to execute any charges with them. The cases got terminated after 24 hours, and this became the beginning of their one-decade legal battle.

Larkin and Lacey decided and swore to fight for their fellow immigrants through funding all the movements around Arizona. During the verdict, the judges said that the rights of the journalists had been violated and ought to be settled with $ 3.75 million.

The reason for the settlement was because they left their companies with no one to operate and also the loss and damages incurred.
