People are being killed and slaughtered in the name of religion and due to the sectarian conflict, and it is something that must stop immediately. And, while the governments across the globe are planning to take the people responsible for killing innocent civilians down, it is important for the human rights organizations, NGOs, and other organizations to continue their efforts.
They need to reach out to people in need and provide them basic amenities and supplies so that they can survive this crisis without any issues.
However, the problem of human rights abuses and civil rights violations are not limited to the under-developed nations, but even the developed countries like the United States have seen a surge in human and civil rights violations.
The people in power have tried to suppress the voice of the poor and needy and are for this reason; the voice of the ordinary people takes so long to reach the people who can make important changes in the society. It is the need of the hour for the people to come together and voice their opinion and help the affected people and victims of human rights abuses, civil rights violations, and fight for the freedom of speech, expression, and press. If it is not done today, the future is certainly going to be a dull place to be in.
Some of the organizations that have been fighting to create a balance in the country and reinstate the constitutional rights of the people are American Civil Liberties Union, CARE, Carter Center, American Bar Association, Center for Justice and Accountability, Earth Justice, Lambda Legal, Center for Constitutional Rights, and more.
Some of the international organizations that have been active for many years in rehabilitating the lives of the people in crisis-stricken zones are Protection International, Amnesty International, Red Cross, and more. These organizations ensure that the people in power are kept in check and that the people have a hope of rebuilding their lives, even after all they have gone through.
In the United States, the fight for migrant and civil rights have been ongoing for quite some time now, and Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey are important figures in this protest against the government.
They co-own two of the most popular media outlet named Village Voice Media and Phoenix New Times, which reported on the grand jury proceedings recently. It is for this reason; the Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio arrested them without a valid arrest warrant in an insulting manner late at night.
However, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey fought the legal battle with perseverance for their First Amendment Right and won the battle and also received the $3.75 million compensation amount.
It has now being converted to the Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund that is used to support many different causes that have negatively affected the community, including human rights abuses, civil rights, migrant rights, freedom of the press, freedom of expression, and more.
